Why is music so important to students development? Researchers have drawn connections between Iearning and the arts since the 1920s, when MacPherson wrote:
“It is an acknowledged fact that, when properly carried out, music ... has most certainly the effect of stimulating the mental faculties of those who take part in it, and, as a result, of improving the standard of work in other departments.”
A music program for our children is a major component in their development, including the enhancement of:

Our only purpose is to help the world in places and times where the most help is needed WORKSHOP OFFERS INTERACTIVE DRUM CONCERTS - designed for up to 2000 students or participants - usually used for themed days (i.e. Earth Day, spirit assemblies, etc.) - includes the students (or volunteers) playing the drums and different percussion instruments THREE VILLAGES PROGRAM - introduces the students to the drums and the world of percussion - the students demonstrate their skills as drummers based on rhythm, beat, etc. (the skills will be graded through homework and/or assignments) - the goal is to create an understanding of the percussions (the detail or depth of knowledge we expect depends on the grades we are dealing with) DAY OF DRUM - we go through the complete process of drum therapy o work with language barriers and communication o self-esteem and pride o the fact that we are all different people with different ideas, opinions, and beliefs - includes the knowledge and information needed to start or run a drum program in the future - includes a full day of work |
